If you’re the kind of person who likes to get stuck in and learn how to do everything yourself, that’s fine with me.
Just let me know and I’ll change your WordPress user role from Editor to Administrator.
You can read more about user roles here
You’ll then have access to the sections of your site’s inner workings that were previously hidden.
This includes the Appearance menu.
From here – in Appearance > Theme Options – you can change your home page headline and subhead.
You can also change your sidebar text. The sidebar content is set up using Widgets.
The setup varies from website to website, so you’ll need to take a look at what’s on your site.
But if it’s a simple word change you want to make, choose Appearance > Widgets and search for the sidebar title you want to edit. Click the arrow to open the widget panel, edit the text, then click the Save button.
If your site has one or more foreign language versions, things get more complicated as you’ll have widgets for each language. But the basic idea is the same.

Careful with that button!
Please take extra care if you do take on the Administrator role. Unfortunately, GiteWise cannot guide you through every step of the way here. If you do come unstuck, though, give me a shout.
